The Payette Children’s Forest is a partnership between the Payette National Forest, Trout Unlimited, MOSS, Brundage Ski Resort, Little Ski Hill, P.O.T.S. Garden Project, Kelly’s Whitewater Park, Payette Lakes Community Association and Ponderosa Park. The goal of the Payette Children’s Forest is to promote youth outdoor education and recreation programs in the Adams and Valley county areas of Idaho with a focus on their local youth.
In order to do this, an interactive Field Guide was developed on the site. Once a child logs in, they access badges collected through various activities and displayed in a fun and engaging book. Every part of this site was illustrated with some fun animated CSS on certain pages to make this site more kid-friendly whilst keeping it navigable for parents.
